For more than 20 years, Ishmael Sankoh, better known as DJ Ish, has used music, sport and community engagement to bring people together. A familiar figure within the Sierra Leonean and Afro-Caribbean communities, he has dedicated his time to creating opportunities that improve people's health, wellbeing and sense of belonging.
Following a personal cardiac health scare, Ish's outlook on life changed dramatically. Determined to inspire others to take control of their own health, he founded Countdown Community Health & Wellbeing, creating regular exercise sessions, walking and running groups, and community events that encourage people of all ages to live healthier, more active lives.
His work has earned recognition from leading athletes, charitable organisations and the BBC, but his greatest achievement remains seeing lives transformed through the power of community. Guided by the belief "We Earn To Give Back," Ish continues to lead Countdown with passion, purpose and an unwavering commitment to helping others.

Abdul Wahab Seisay, widely known as DJ Little De Mozis, has spent more than 30 years entertaining, mentoring and serving communities across London. As an award-winning DJ and founder of Little Entertainment and Diaspora Voices, he has proudly promoted Sierra Leonean culture while using his platform to inspire positive social change.
Alongside a long career within the NHS, Abdul has devoted himself to youth mentoring, community engagement and health awareness. His work has included supporting young people through music, campaigning against knife crime and raising awareness of illnesses including breast and prostate cancer—causes that have touched his own family and strengthened his commitment to helping others.
Today, Abdul combines his professional experience, passion for wellbeing and community leadership to help deliver Countdown's programmes, encouraging people to embrace healthier lifestyles while creating opportunities for future generations.

Behind every successful Countdown event is Haja Fatmata Sesay, whose organisation, dedication and attention to detail help keep everything running smoothly. Since joining Countdown in 2022, Haja has become an integral part of the team, overseeing administration, communications and the coordination of activities that support hundreds of community members each year.
Inspired by the positive impact Countdown has on people's health and wellbeing, Haja quickly embraced a more active role within the organisation. She has played an important part in the success of initiatives such as the March for Men Campaign and works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure participants enjoy a welcoming, inclusive and well-organised experience.
Her commitment, compassion and belief in the power of community continue to make her an invaluable member of the Countdown family, helping the organisation deliver on its promise to earn to give back.
